A New Years Gift.



The chances offered to the following circular copies of which were distributed at every miners fowls in Denaby and Cadeby on New Years morning:

Notice.

The ejectment orders granted by the magistrates, otheron the 13thDecember will be in the hands of the police to effect after 3 January. All those against whom had been made will then be compelled to give up possession of their houses.

UNLESS THEY HAVE PREVIOUSLY SIGNED THE AGREEMENT TO GO TO WORK ON THE OLD TERMS WHEN THE PITS ARE DECLARED OPEN FOR THEM.

A final opportunity is now given of signing an agreement paper, which may be added to the company’s officer, are sent to the General Office no later than Saturday, January 3.

The agreement paper is as follows:

“to the Denaby and Cadeby Main Collieries Ltd

“I the undersigned…………………of …………………………….

Denaby Main, agreed to return to work when required, on the same terms as existed on 12 July 1902.

Naturally the receipt of the above while it confirmed previous expectations, aroused a deeper feeling of resilience and gloomy forethought, as it evidence that, the colliery company were given a final chance, which, if not at septic, could be sternly followed by the affliction of a terrible blow, legally, through the carrying out of the ejectment orders.
