No Domestic Science Mistress
Conisbrough’s Country-wide Search.
Enquiries have been made throughout the country and in Scotland in an effort to secure a domestic science mistress for a Conisbrough school.
Last night it was stated at Mexborough Combined Secondary School Governors’ meeting that the enquiries had been fruitless.
Miss G. E. Packwood, headmistress of Conisbrough Modern School, reported that for a year the school had been without a domestic science mistress. Unless the vacancy was filled the subject would have to be omitted also from next year’s curriculum, she said.
