Warmsworth Insurance Agent is made to pay.

Caught at Conisbrough

Richard Ince, an insurance agent, of Warmsworth, was charged with travelling on the Great Central Railway, without a ticket on October 30.

Mr F Hall prosecuted on behalf of the railway company.

The defendant pleaded guilty.

Mr Hall said the defendant got on the 1-12 p yummier IRI Wednesday volume in any train from Penistone to Barnsley, in the same compartment they happen to be a great Central guard. When the trigger to Mexborough the defendant got into another part of the train, without getting a ticket, costing seven deed to Doncaster. The guard mentioned the matter, and at Conisbrough, when spoken to, the defendant said he had had a mark ticket lost. He offered to pay his fare, and under the circumstances the official declined to accept it.

The defendant also gave the name of someone who would prove what he said, but this person, one question, said he knew nothing about it.

Ordered to pay 5s and 18/6 costs.
