Not Satisfied with Response for Evening Classes

Mr Dereck Walker, head of further education at Conisbrough Northcliffe High School, is “far from satisfied” with the response to many of the evening classes offered at the school.

Dr Walker said: “There seems to be a great deal of apathy among Conisbrough people. I would be glad to receive ideas of courses that would drag them away from their television sets.”

New courses at the centre include basketball, with National grade coach, Maurice Wadsworth, flower arrangement with Mr Lofthouse, of Tickhill, and practical auto maintenance, in which students carry out repairs and adjustments on their own cars.
