Deciding Goal Comes Late in the Game

Denaby United opened their programme in the Midland League wartime competition with a visit to Grantham on Saturday and were unfortunate to be beaten, the deciding goal being scored in the last 10 minutes of the game.
The first half was evenly contested and there was plenty of excitement in the goalmouths.
Fahy scored midway through the half to give Grantham an interval lead, but after the change of ends ARDRON equalised with a fine individual effort.
Fahy however again give Grantham the lead and the points with another clever goal.
