Obituary – Leonard Palmer

Mr. Leonard Palmer died at Ilkley on Aug. 9th and was buried at Denaby on Saturday.

He was a Denaby man, 26 years old, and belonged to a family of cricketers.

He played at one time for Denaby, and last season for Brodsworth. He was a inn bat and a useful bowler. This season he signed on for Bancroft, but was prevented from playing by illness.

A brother, Jack Palmer, of Carcroft, is a member of the Bancroft team, and his eldest brother, Mr. Herbert Palmer, was a member of the Denaby and Edlington teams before he became the groundsman at Edlington.
