Former Denaby Works Official

The death occurred on Friday at 166, Bare Lane, Morecambe of Mr, Maurice Alfred Daniels, late chief clerk at the Old Denaby works of Messrs. I.C.I. Explosives. Ltd.

Mr. Daniels left Mexborough in September, 1947, for retirement in Morecambe. He joined the Denaby factory 35 years ago as a Junior clerk, after having served for a period as boy with the Britannic Assurance Co. Ltd.

During the war Mr. Daniels took an active, part in the National Savings organisation at the works of the and was one of the industrial representatives of Conisbrough Savings Committee.

All his working life he had been a teacher of commercial subjects at Mexborough Evening Institute,. For more than 20 year. Mr. and Mrs. Daniels had been associated with the Trinity Methodist Church, Mexborough, for many years Mr. Daniels had been treasurer to the Sunday School and a Church though he cogently who
