Obscene and Abusive language.

Thos. Handley, miner. Denaby Main was summoned for using abusive language at Denaby Main on March 1 and was ordered to pay 12,6.

Walter Beach, glasshand, Sam Barnett and Wm. Howlett, miners, all of Mexborough were fined 13/6 each; Christopher Noble, 10s.. Edmund Machin, miners, New Conisbrough 20s; Thomas Hill, miner, Mexborough’, 13/6; Jos. Martin, miner 7/9; and Wm. Bailey, grocer, Bolton on Dearne, 5s  and 9/9 costs.

Disgraceful Fight Between Women At Denaby.

Mary Parker and Sarah Handley, married women of Denaby Main, were summoned for committing a breach of the peace by fighting at Denaby on March 1st, and were each ordered to pay 7/6.
