Odd Fellows Tea at Conisborough

The members of the “Pride of Conisborough Lodge,” G.U.O.F. held their annual tea on Saturday at the Lodge house, Red Lion Hotel.

About 120 sat down to a most excellent repast provided by Mr and Mrs T Nesbitt to whom great credit is due

After tea the concert was held in the large Lodge room presided over by brother G.H.Fitzgeorge, who has occupied that position on these annual occasions for the past 11 years. In his brief remarks he said he was pleased to see so many present, and all the time will come when the trade would brighten distress would not be known. He also spoke in I terms of the host and hostess for their excellent catering, as he thought they got better every year

Brother A.E.Lee, secretary of the Juvenile branch, in his report, said that the membership was over 80 and the fund is always of £30

Mr Villiers of Sheffield (ventriloquist) delighted with his very interesting entertainment.

Songs were given by Miss Nesbitt, Miss K King, Mrs J Ryan, F keys, E Nesbitt and J Westby

After the usual vote of thanks to the host and hostess et cetera, dancing was indulged in until 1130 to the strains of Mr a Wilson band
