Oddfellows’ Demonstration at Conisbro’.
On Sunday the annual demonstration of friendly societies took place at Conisbro’, and the weather being beautifully fine, there was a large crowd to witness the procession of Oddfellows, Druids, and Foresters, wearing the regalia.
There was a special service held in the afternoon in the Baptist Church, and the building was crowded.
The minister, the Rev. J. Martin, conducted the service, and gave an address on ” Life.”
There was a special anthem, and the service was of a bright and successful character.
The total receipts, which were on behalf of the hospital, amounted to about £5.
