Offences at Denaby

At Doncaster on Saturday a number of prosecution was brought at the instance of the Denaby and Cadeby Collieries Company for whom Mr F Allen appeared.

James Bradley, collier of Denaby was fined 40 shillings inclusive, for breach of special colliery rule 97. He struck a fellow workman with a safety lamp, and nearly cut his ear off.

Tom Hutchinson, labourer of Conisbrough made an unlawful annexation of the Colliery Company’s gas connection whereby he illuminated his house without registering the amount used through the meter.

He was also fined 40 shillings inclusive.
