Offences in Denaby and Cadeby mines.

At the Doncaster West Riding police Court, on Saturday, Mr Frank Allen appeared on behalf of the Denaby and Cadeby Main Collieries.co.Ltd to prosecute several defendants for breaches of special colliery rules.

Thomas Keywood, pony driver, of Denaby, was fined 5s. and 13s. 6d. costs tor throwing stones at it.

Jasper Hawksworth. collier, of Denaby, was fined 10s. and 11s. 6d. costs for breach of Special Colliery Rule 101, in that he did not set sprags according to rule.

For not setting a sprag in obedience to the order of the deputy. Michael Regan, collier, of Denaby, was fined 5s. and 16s. 6d. costs.

Samuel Cooke and Frank Robinson, pony drivers, Denaby and Conisboro’ respectively, were each fined 5s. and 22s. 6d. costs for knocking down part of the roof of the mine on two separate occasions.
