The Rev. Harry Lee, of St. Timothy’s Church, Crookes, is considering an invitation by the Wickersley Parochial Church Council to fill the vacancy caused by the death of the Rev. H. C. May. the late Rector of Wlckersley.

It Is 28 years ago since Mr. Lee preached his first sermon. He was for nine years curate at Mexborough. Before coming to Sheffield he had been Vicar of Denaby for seven years, and for nearly five years was Vicar of Conisborough.

He left Conisborough to come to St. Timothy’s in November of 1931, and is Very popular with the congregation at Crookes.

He told the “Daily Independent” yesterday that he had not yet decided whether to accept the invitation. “Such a big decision cannot be made in a few hours and I am taking a day or two to think it over,” he added. “The house at Wickersley is a large place and would hardly be suitable for one man to live in but I cannot say anything definite.
