Old Denaby to Confer With Mexborough Council

Old Denaby Parish Council, who at their previous meeting decided to continue proceeding independently in their request to the West Riding County Council for the provision of a bridge over the River Don to replace the ferry crossing, which has been in use since before 1435, reversed their decision on Tuesday, when they agreed to discuss the matter with Mexborough Urban Council.

The Mexborough authority had urged the Parish Council to join with them in making combined presentations to the County Council.
