One Shaft for Coal from Two Pits

Future development plans for Cadeby Main Colliery, Conisborough, near Doncaster, provide for all coal mined in the sister pit, Denaby Main, a mile away, to be sent underground to Cadeby and wound up the Cadeby shaft.

Mr. J. Halford, agent of the two collieries, forecast yesterday that in a few years Cadeby would be one of the big’ pits of the north.

Average weekly output from the two collieries at present is more than 20,000 tons.
