Outbreak of Swine Fever at Denaby Main
On Thursday morning, Mr Stones, Veterinary surgeon at Wath upon Dearne, condemned three pigs belonging to Wm. Pattison, of Denaby Main, suffering from swine fever, and they were slaughtered.
In consequence of the distressing effects which usually following outbreak of this epidemic, it is wise to take precautionary measures, and Mr Stones advises three things – good food, thorough ventilation, and attention to drainage.
It is also well to put before readers the benefits which are derived from an occasional use of Colley’s pig powders, which we are assured greatly minimised the chances of infection.
