Over Fifty Convictions.
An unkempt-looking man named Thomas Duffy, belonging, it is said, to Sheffield, was in the dock at Doncaster, yesterday, charged with begging at Denaby on Sunday night.
A purse and 2 ½ d. were found upon him.
He said the officer followed him and charged him with stealing the purse, but such charge was ‘ alleged against him in court.
He was committed prison for ten days. There are 51 convictions against him.
