Parting Gifts
For Denaby N.C.B.Clerical Worker

Mrs Olive Sinclair’s retirement from the staff of the National Call Board was marked at the number one (workshop) Area Offices, Denaby on Monday, when she was presented with a standard lamp and several other gifts from the staff.

Mrs Sinclair has been employed in the coal industry since 1937, first with Amalgamated Denaby collieries, and subsequently with the National Coal Board, principally in the Cost Department.
A native of West Hartlepool, she has resided in Conisbrough and Balby for 35 years but plans to retire to Doncaster.

Mr R Knight (Area Cost Accountant) said “Mrs Sinclair has always given her best work and always been a very willing and cheerful worker.”

He offered his personal thanks to her and felt she had earned her retirement.

Mr E Dabbs (Eric Chief Accountant) presented a lamb, expressed admiration for the way in which Mrs Sinclair and faced the responsibilities and added thanks for the work she had done.

Mrs Sinclair thanked her colleague and said she had been very happy both with Amalgamated Denaby Collieries and the Coal Board. She sank both Mr Dabbs and Mr Knight for their help and guidance.
