Permanent Relief Fund.

The annual meeting of the members of the Denaby Main branch of the Permanent Relief Fund was held at the schoolroom, Denaby, on Monday evening, the president (Mr. C. Schofield) presiding.

The statement of accounts for the past year was as follows.

Receipts: Workmen’s subscriptions, £185 17s. 3d., cash from treasurer at Barnsley, £394. Expenditure: death legacies, £15; paid to permanently injured members, £247 12s.; temporarily ditto, £153 19s.; widows and children, £140; agent, cashier, president, committee, and miscellaneous expenses, £23 1s. 9d., leaving a balance in hand for the ensuring year of £14 4s. 1d.

The president was unanimously re-elected, and so was the agent, Mr. John Hammonds.

The following were elected on the working committee: – Messrs. J. Marriott, F. Moore and J. Picken, whilst Mr. S. Groutage, of Conisboro’, was elected delegate to attend the meeting as Barnsley on the 30th inst.
