Pit Accident

Leonard Feeney (56), miner, Adwick Street, was admitted to the Fullerton hospital on Saturday morning, suffering from injuries to the ribs and side received when he slipped on flat sheets in the Denaby Main Colliery, while in the act of twisting it up.

This is the first time Feeney has been seriously hurt the pit and the first time he has been in hospital, although he has been working in the pit since he was 14.
