Two Pits Stopped.
Some 900 Miners Idle through Defects and Water.
Cadeby Colliery, Conisborough, ceased work yesterday owing to the discovery of a defect in the winding machinery.
Between 800 and 900 men are out of work, and it is expected it will take at least a week to effect the necessary repairs.
This is the fourth stop at the colliery during the last nine months.
