Two Pits Stopped.

Some 900 Miners Idle through Defects and Water.

Cadeby Colliery, Conisborough, ceased work yesterday owing to the discovery of a defect in the winding machinery.

Between 800 and 900 men are out of work, and it is expected it will take at least a week to effect the necessary repairs.

This is the fourth stop at the colliery during the last nine months.
