Playing at “Bank” at Denaby

Michael Lang, pony driver, Michael Dalton, and Joseph Taylor, also pony drivers, of Denaby were summoned for having gambled with cards at Denaby on the 29 th June.

Police Constable Midgley stated that about five o’clock on the day named, Denaby he was on duty at Denaby in company with Police Constable Spivey, when he the defendants playing at a game called “Bank.”

They watched the defendants for ten minutes.

A fine of 12s. 6d, including costs, was imposed in each case.
