Police Court Briefs
Mary Booth, married, Conisborough, was fined 10s. at Doncaster on Saturday for having deposited litter on the highway at Conisborough on April 7th. She was seen by P.C. Bowman to throw some fish and chip paper in the roadway.
Three pit hands, Harry Day and Thomas Coope, of Conisborough, and Frank White, of Goldthorpe, were fined 6s. each for riding bicycles without front lights.
Christopher Bullock, farmer, Barmboro’, was fined 10s. for failing to have his name and address painted on a dray. P.C. Bainbridge, who proved the case, said they had been painted on but had become very indistinct.
Trouble between Conanby neighbours, John Thomas Perry and Ernest Henderson, miners, resulted in each summoning the other at Doncaster on Saturday for assault, on April 15th. Without going into detail, the magistrates bound both men over.
For failing to conform to a traffic signal at Conisborough, Arthur Dyson, contractor, of Wath, was fined 20s. at Doncaster on Tuesday.
