Policeman “Got Him” on Eight Occasions
At Doncaster West Riding Court, yesterday, when two Denaby miners, William Bell and John Dumigham were summoned for obstructing the highway by fighting, Bell alleged that Police-constable Dobson bore malice against him.
He had “got him” on eight occasions out ten. He went on to say that he had lived in Denaby for 46 years, had worked the Cadeby Pit for 33 years, and had held every position in the Cadeby branch.
The case against Bell was dismissed, but Dumigham was fined 20s.
