Three Denaby Brothers.
The three soldiers below, are sons of Mr and Mrs Prew, 28, Sprotborough Street, Denaby main, and their names are James, Squire and John William
John William Prew, the oldest son, enlisted in August of last year, soon after the outbreak of war, having previously served six years in the territorial forces.
Private James Prew, enlisted in October of last year, and went to the front earlier this year.
Squire Prew, the youngest son, enlisted in February of this year, and has now been wounded at the front.
In a letter receivedquite recently by his mother, private John Prew says. “The Germans have a shell that would blow the `Drum´ out of its place.”
