Primitive Methodist Chapel Anniversary

The 33rd anniversary of the opening of the Primitive Methodist Chapel was commemorated last week-end. Special services were conducted by Mr. S. Fletcher, of Mexboro’. On Sunday afternoon a musical programme was given by members of the Denaby Salvation Army. At the evening service solos and duets were given by members of the chapel.

On Monday evening, Mr. T. Holcroft presided over the meeting, and Mr. Geo. Taylor, of Conisboro” gave an interesting autobiographical address. He is now 74 years of age, and has been a Sunday School worker for 56 years, 25 of which have been spent in Conisboro’.         He is a local preacher. Most of his Sundays have been occupied in this way.              His reminiscences were very interesting.

The collections throughout the week-end were on behalf of the trust funds.
