Prison for Stealing Cockerel

At Doncaster yesterday Burns, of Park-Road. ‘Conisborough, was committed to  prison for twentv-one days for having stolen a cockerel, the property of Charles Bessey, miner, Mexborough.

When apprehended, prisoner, it was stated, said he would swing for the prosecutor when he came out.
