Prize Fight at Conisboro’
On Tuesday week much excitement was caused by large gangs of men moving about from field to field in the act of evading the police. Two men having decided to fight for a good stake, secured seconds and commenced operations, when they were disturbed on three occasions, after fighting many rounds.
The combatants were so eager that, notwithstanding the cold, they were divested of all their clothing.
At the last encounter, near Doncaster road, the police managed to secure the ringleaders, in a plucky manner, and the sequel will be found at Doncaster Court, on Saturday next.
