Prospects at Denaby
No Stone Unturned
Stronger Than Ever
No doubt this season Denaby will attract a considerable portion of Mexborough supporters now that that club has withdrawn from the league, and Mr Matt. Taylor, the secretary manager of Denaby United, has left no stone unturned to secure the best possible team.
Of last season’s regular players only Eddie Fleetwood remains although Happs the former Mexborough full-back has also resigned. He was transferred from Mexborough before the end of last season are the other positions have been strengthened considerably.

Further Signatures.
t is expected that further signatures may be obtained before the season opens in earnest. During the past few weeks the committee of the supporters club have experienced a busy period. They have purchased a large shed and this has been erected by the members themselves on the ground adjacent to the old stand, as the supporters clubs headquarters. It is the committee’s intention to provide light refreshments to any of the footballers at moderate charges and the clubs action should be more than appreciated. The popular annual trip to Blackpool has been arranged for Sunday, October 4, and 250 seats have been reserved. In all probability a London trip for the king’s coronation will be organised. The price of season cards remain the same, while there is a reduction for the totally unemployed of the district.
