Putting “Old” Into Denaby.

The observations of Old Denaby Parish Council are to be sought by Doncaster Rural Council following receipt of a letter from the Ordnance Survey Office stating that the name Denaby had been used by them for 100 years and had been verified by the council in 1955.

They were, therefore, unable to agree to the change of the name to Old Denaby, unless the change was supported by action under the provisions of section 147, local government at, 1933.
