Quarrelsome Denaby Man

Thomas Hill, miner, Denaby was summoned for having been drunk and disorderly at Mexborough on the 22nd October.

Inspector Watson proved the service of the summons in the absence of the defendant, and said the defendant was drunk and wanted to fight in Doncaster Road. He gave a wrong name and address.

P.c. Lancaster said he knew the defendant, whom he met after the inspector had seen him. Defendant then had his coat and waistcoat off and was in a dirty condition.

A fine of five shillings and costs was imposed.
