Railway Trespass at Conisboro`.

Stanley Jolly, pit hand, Denaby, William E Wall, pit hand, Denaby, Joseph Green, Samuel Green and. Charles Goodison, all pit hands of Conisborough, were summoned for trespassing on the Dearne Valley Railway at Conisborough at 5-30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, and admitted the offence.

Jolly was the only defendant who was not represented or who did not attend.

P.c. Thompson gave evidence, and Detective-sergeant Stephenson said that the lads paused considerable trouble by getting on to the line and then on the viaduct. If a train came along when they were there, the lads would not be able to get off. Such cases were frequent.

The Chairman (Mr. O. R. Shiffner): You know perfectly well you have no business there. Why do you go?

None of the lads offered any excuse.

The Chairman: You will each be fined 10s. and if you come here again you will be severely dealt with.
