A Rainy Evening
For Conisbrough “Summer Fayre”
Conisbrough Station Road schools Parent Teacher Association held their annual summer fayre in the school hall last night (Thursday).
The Rev and Mrs R. E. Kendall open the event in the packed school hall.
Normally, the fayre is held in the school playground. But because of the rain it had to be held indoors.
A fancy dress competition was judged by Mrs A. E. Stimpson and Mrs A. Oldfield and the Rev. and Mrs. Kendall. A bouquet of mixed flowers was presented to Mrs Kendall by a pupil, Anne Ward. Prizes were presented to the winning children by Mrs Oldfield,

5 to 7 years: 1. Judith Armitage, 2 Philip Jackson,3 Ann Moody. 4 Ken Davies:
7 to 9 years: 1 Hilary Biggins, 2 Jennifer Wolstenhome, 3 Christine Thickett, 4 Norman Taylor:
9 to 11: 1 David Greenfield, 2 Keith Priest 3 Paul Wynne 4 Duncan Wolstenholme.
