Refusing to Quit at Denaby
James Dalton, miner, Denaby, was summoned for being disorderly and refusing to quit the Denaby Main Hotel.
Wm. Isaac Gibbs stated that the defendant came into the hotel on the 29th ult., at 9 p.m. He had a brick under his arm, and he was shouting, and said “I’m going to have some beer, and if I don’t get some, some —— is going to get this” (holding the brick up).
The defendant had not been supplied with any drink at the hotel for the last five or six years.
P.C. Wailes deposed that he was called to the Denaby Main Hotel, and there he found the defendant behaving very disorderly, shouting for beer, and using most filthy language.
Defendant was committed to Wakefield for one month.
