Retirement after 50 Years in the Underground Workings

Last Friday well-known and esteemed employee of Denaby Main colliery retired after having worked for over 50 years in the underground workings.

We refer to Mr Robert Pattison. For many years he lived in Denaby Main and was closely associated with the sport of the village and especially with cricket, a game he played with local teams for many years.

He was also connected with the Parish Church and since he went to live in Mexborough he has been associated with the church there.
