Revised Scheme
For Conisbrough Marchgate Site
Conisbrough Urban Council have instructed their Surveyor (Mr. G. Chadwick) in co-operation with Ministry of Housing and Local Government Architects for two-storeyed flats on Marchgate site. A warden’s accommodation and a community centre for old people is to be included in the scheme.
Ministry officials and Urban Councillors and Council officers inspected the site at Marchgate to discuss the scheme. The Council originally proposed to build old people’s bungalows on the site but. they were advised by the ministry that flats would be better.
