Robbery by a Lodger at Conisborough
Hickson Waterton, a miner, living in Pontefract, was charged with having stolen clothing and a watch, the value of 30 shillings, belonging to George Parker, miner, Conisborough.
The theft was committed on August 22 and the prisoner pleaded guilty.
The prosecutor and left him in the house whilst he himself went to work, and on returning at night the prisoner was missing. The robbery was then found to have taken place.
The prisoner, who had been previously before the court, was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment.
