Robbing the Gooseberry Trees.

On Saturday, at Doncaster, Albert Gandy, Ernest Spencer, Alfred Wood, and Alfred Coulson, all of Conisbro’, were charged with having stolen a quantity of gooseberries from a garden belonging to John Wigfall, insurance agent, Conisbro’.

The father of the boy Wood declared that he was in bed at the time he was said to have been in the garden.

He was dis- charged ; but the other lads were each ordered to pay 11s. 6d., the costs.
