Rough Denaby Customer

at Doncaster on Saturday, John Foster, Denaby, was charged with having assaulted Mrs Smith, of the Good Woman Tap, Doncaster, and with having maliciously damaged glasses et cetera on Friday evening.

John Smith, the landlord, said the prisoner went into the Smoke room and turned out the lights, breaking one of the brackets. He then started throwing glasses across the room. There was then a scuffle, and prisoner was put out.

Police officers then came up, and when prisoner had gone for witness and his wife, they locked him up.

The total amount of damages was five shillings.

Prisoner was fined 20 shillings and costs, and the damage, or 14 days
