Runaway Horse At Conisborough

On Monday a horse belonging to Mr. John A. Bateson, butcher, New Conisborough, causing considerable alarm, but fortunately no one was hurt.

It appears that the animal had been partly unharnessed, and directly it found itself free it made off.

On arriving at the Glass Works Bridge, it jumped over some railings and down an embankment 8 or 9 feet, turning a complete somersault with the trap.

Assistance was quickly rendered, when it was found that the horse was not hurt, and the trap but slightly damaged.
