 Sad Conisborough Case.

 A Son Charged with Theft.

A youth named Percy Twiby (14), son of Thomas Twiby, joiner, Conisborough, was remanded by the Doncaster magistrates today on a charge of stealing a quantity of jewellery, value £15 from his father’s house.

The robbery was reported to the police, and this morning the lad was found Doncaster station platform by police constable Lundy, with part of the stolen property in his possession.

The officer said the boy was found quite by accident. He had in his possession he pointed it for a goal guard, Poynder Mexborough for 2 pounds and money amounting to £1 19s 7d.

The magistrates decided on a remand, but as the father declined to have the youth at home he was sent to place of detention at Bentley.
