Met In Africa
News of her husband, A.B. Colin Goodman, has been received recently by Mrs. Goodman, 9. Midland Road, Swinton from Colin Hibberd, of Main Street. Mexborough, on the Gold Coast who, while serving with the R.A.F. on the Gold Coast of West Africa met A. Goodman just entering a cinema. Hibbert and Goodman were friends in their school days and were surprised to see each other. A.B. Goodman is a son of Mr and Mrs S, Goodman of 15, Genoa Street, Mexborough. He is 29 and volunteered for the Navy, being called up in February, 1942. He has been abroad for seven months, and told his friend that in spite of the intense heat he Is enjoying the life and is fit and well.
A.B. Goodman, a keen cyclist, was for a number of years a member of Mexborough Road Cycling Club.
His brother Frank (31) has been in the R. A. F. for three years.
