Sea War Victim?

Mr. Harry MiInes, underground timekeeper at Cadeby Colliery, has received the sad news that the ship in which his son was serving has been sunk by enemy action and that his son is reported missing.

Fifth Engineer Donald Milnes joined the Merchant Navy in November, 1940. He is an old boy of Mexborough Secondary School. He is 22 and after leaving school took a post with the British Tabulating Machine Company, Latchford, where he was doing extremely well.

Mr. and Mrs. Milne, now reside at Thorne, but friends in Denaby Main will regret to learn the news of Donald.

When he resided in Denaby Main he was a member of the Parish Church teaching staff.
