Sailor’s Birthday
Somewhere on the high seas is Leading Air Mechanic Harold Leonard Warren, whose parents reside at 32, Warren Road, Conisbrough, and who to-day (Friday) celebrates his 22nd birthday.
Prior to enlistment in 1940 Leading Air Mechanic Warren was employed by the L.N.E. Railway Co. at Kilnhurst Station.
In 1940 he joined the Fleet Air Arm and has been on active service since early last year. In a letter home he describes how he recently spent a leave in South Africa.
