Scavenging

It was decided to appoint Mrs Shearman and Johnson, valuers, on behalf of the Council, to assess the damages, if any, due to Mr Goodison, late tenant of the site required for a scavenging tip at Conisborough.

A letter was read from the station master at Conisborough complaining of the smell arising from the new scavenging tip, and the Clerk reported a complaint to him by the superintendent of the Great Central Railway.

Instructions were given for the tipping to take place at a point on the site furthest away from the railway station.
