School Concert – “House Plays”
On Thursday evening the girls of the Middle School gave an evening of “House Plays” to a large and appreciative audience in the school.
These plays, written by members of the staff and produced by Junior Forms, consisted of scenes from the lives of the four great women chosen as patronesses of the tour school “houses.”
They were Joan of Arc, Hilda, Abbess of Whitby, Margaret of Scotland, and St. Mary. The latter was depicted as a short Nativity, play, end made a fitting and seasonable finish to the programme. Music was provided by the Senior Forms, and included the songs with which the pupils were successful at the recent Mexboro’ Musical Festival.
