Scout Winners and Great Jamboree

The Nuttall Challenge Shield has been view during the week in the shop window of Mr Starr, near the Picture Hall entering.

On Saturday it was formally presented to the 2nd Conisboro’ Troop, who are the winners this year. The presentation was made by Major Clark. Assistant District Commissioner for the Doncaster district. The chair was taken by the Vicar, who takes a great interest in the Scout movement. Scoutmaster Wood at selected the shield on behalf of of the troop.

I am pleased to learn that one of the members of this Troop has gone up to London to represent the second Conisbrough at the great Jamboree at Olympia. No doubt he will have a great deal to tell his fellow Scouts of the doings of the twenty-one nations represented at this unique gathering of Scouts.
