Sent for Trial

After unsuccessfully attempting to break into several shops in Denaby, two men were caught red-handed when trying to break into a shop in Doncaster Road, Denaby, it was alleged at Doncaster West Riding court yesterday (Thursday).

The men, Donald Hay (21). Haulage hand, Doncaster Road, Denaby, and Daniel Healy (22), labourer, of Blyth Street, Denaby, were committed for trial to the next West Riding quarter sessions at Wakefield, charged with jointly attempting to break and enter to greengrocer’s shops in Doncaster Road, Denaby, and marketplace, Denaby.

Both men said they intended to plead guilty. Bail and legal aid were refused.
