Sheep Compensation

Judgement for plaintiff for the amount claimed, with costs was awarded at Rotherham County Court yesterday in a case which Hubert Gill, Manor farm, Hooton Roberts, claimed £25 damages from Frank Evans, motor driver, employed by Rotherham Corporation, of Quarry cottages, Old Denaby.

This was the value of five sheep which died as a result of injuries sustained by being mauled, bitten or chased by defendant’s Alsatian dog on February 25
