At committee meeting of the above association’ was held at the Maunche Hotel. Sheffield, on Tuesday evening, Mr. J. C. Clegg in the chair.
Kilnhurst reported the secretary of the Birdwell Club for returning a false list of names of players who took part the match against Kilnhurst, and Birdwell were suspended for fortnight, and the secretary for three months.
There was a further complaint from Mr. Allerton of the conduct of the Birdwell spectators in the match with Denaby Main, and notices were ordered to be posted, warning Birdwell spectators that similar condact in the future would bring suspension upon the ground.
A counter complaint followed from Birdwell against Denaby Main, on the occasion the match at Mexbro’, when one the Birdwell players was struck over the eye with a pint pot by a man named Roper, who was suspended for three months.
Birch (Womb well Town). Tingle (Owlerton Swifts), and Abel (Channing ßovers), were suspended for 14 days for falling to take part in the match Champions of the Association League v Rest of League.
